Meet The Designer: Edo Santoso

Edo Santoso earned his degree in Design & Visual Communications from Universitas Tarumanagara, Jakarta. His lifelong passion for wood led him to study its unique grains and textures as a source of inspiration, even without formal training in furniture making.

For Edo, every piece of wood carries a story, and through his designs he blends personal character with natural beauty. His mission is to showcase Indonesia’s high-quality solid wood to the world through refined, handcrafted furniture.

Edo Santoso, a designer whose passion for wood has shaped his journey. A graduate in Design & Visual Communications from Universitas Tarumanagara, Jakarta, Edo found his lifelong inspiration not in formal furniture training, but in the character of wood itself. To him, every grain tells a story, every texture carries memory. His mission is to present Indonesia’s finest solid wood to the world through furniture that is both handcrafted and timeless. 

Among CASAKA’s most grandeur creations are the PIGURA Chair. Inspired by the elegance of framing, this chair embodies transparency, lightness, and refinement, while preserving the dignity and strength of solid wood.
