Meet The Designer: Yohanes Bosko Reno

Yohanes Bosko Reno earned his degree in Industrial Design from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya. He joined VIVERE in 2018 and now leads the Research Design and Development Department.

As an in-house product designer, he has developed three major collections for VIVERE Collection such as AKARA, CITY, and DAINTY Series, which reflect his vision of functional yet refined living. In addition, he plays a key role in the engineering process, working closely with external designers to transform their concepts into finished products.

Manchester Armchair – Eco Series is a symbol of commitment to more conscious design. Renewed with sustainable materials such as laminated rattan, rattan veneer, and recycled fabric, this chair brings new life to iconic comfort with a mindful approach that embraces nature, artisans, manufacturing, and users within a connected, caring ecosystem.

From Concept to Creation

Using 100% recycled polyester fabric, made from at least 28 PET bottles (0.5L) per meter. Each thread is a second life for plastic waste, transformed into soft, durable upholstery while reducing environmental impact.

MANCHESTER Armchair - Eco Series 

Natural rattan veneer with horizontal grain is applied to the outer backrest and seat base, highlighting warm texture and modern aesthetics. Its fine and consistent fiber allows seamless application on curved surfaces without cracking. Lightweight yet strong, this material offers an ideal solution for adaptive and sustainable design.

Made from uniform-fiber rattan blocks free from knots or uneven growth, the chair legs are crafted using precision cutting technology to deliver a smooth, splinter-free surface while showcasing the unique and natural grain pattern. This material offers an innovative and sustainable alternative to conventional solid wood.

MANCHESTER Armchair – Eco Series represents VIVERE’s conscious statement for a more responsible future.
